Cricketer turned business mogul has become the brand ambassador of the premium XYXX company, reinventing how men’s underwear is designed, developed, and marketed.

XYXX, a home-grown innerwear and loungewear brand, announced that it had raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Indian cricketer KL Rahul. XYXX is a premium men’s innerwear brand that is built around the idea of giving men the best possible undergarments. It sources its high-quality, eco-friendly fabrics directly from artisans in India to ensure that the products are made with the highest level of craftsmanship.

This is a story of how a long-time fan of the brand met XYXX, looking to invest in the brand and discuss the possibility of collaborating on a premium collection.

“A few years back, I was a huge fan of XYXX and their innerwear. I was so enamored with the brand that I wanted to invest in it and discuss the possibility of collaborating on a premium collection,” said KL Rahul. “

With the cricketer as the brand ambassador, the company claims that this would strengthen its online presence and robust regional expansion in formerly unexplored markets. Sauce.vc, DSG Consumer Partners, and Synergy Capital Partners contributed ₹30 crores in series funding to the startup in June 2021. For an undisclosed amount, Rahul has joined the firm as an investor.

KL Rahul expressed his excitement to be a part of the brand’s journey when asked about the relationship. ” Their attention to detail, ideals, and ethos, all supported by innovation shown in their fantastic product line—all it’s nothing short of extraordinary,” he remarked.

XYXX has exhibited phenomenal year-on-year growth since the previous financial year, exponentially increasing its revenue by 100%, and is currently in a high-growth stage in its journey. In addition, XYXX is on its way to scaling up its physical presence to 19000 touchpoints by September 2022 in Tier 1, 2, and 3 markets.
