Paris, May 19, 2026 – eXo Platform announced the availability of its MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, a new capability enabling external AI assistants to securely connect with digital workplace content and tools while maintaining full data control.

As organizations accelerate the adoption of generative AI, governance and security have become major concerns. The eXo MCP server provides a secure framework that allows AI systems to interact with enterprise data and workflows without compromising compliance or sovereignty.

“AI can only create value within organizations if it operates within a controlled framework,” said Veronika Mazour Mestrallet, CEO of eXo Platform. “With the MCP server, organizations can benefit from innovation while maintaining full control over their data and usage.”

Designed to connect digital workplaces with the AI ecosystem, the eXo MCP server enables AI assistants and automation platforms to interact with eXo Platform through a standardized protocol. Unlike traditional APIs, MCP exposes tools in a format AI models can directly understand and use.

The MCP server acts as a secure bridge between AI systems and organizational content, including documents, tasks, notes, events, and collaboration data. Existing user permissions and governance rules are strictly enforced, ensuring AI assistants only access data already authorized for each user.

Organizations can use eXo’s built-in AI for daily assistance, connect external AI agents for advanced workflows, or combine both approaches in a governed environment. The platform also supports integrations with tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Le Chat, n8n, Make, and Zapier.

The eXo MCP server exposes nearly one hundred tools covering collaboration, content management, document sharing, events, tasks, and social interactions. It can also be used with private or internally approved AI systems.

Security and transparency remain central to the approach. Administrators manage authorized services through OAuth, while users retain full control over granted access. Connections can be reviewed and revoked at any time.

“With the MCP server, we aim to make the digital workplace the anchor point for enterprise AI adoption,” added Veronika Mazour Mestrallet. “It enables organizations to orchestrate open AI ecosystems while ensuring the trust required for large-scale deployment.”

The eXo MCP server is now available on the eXo Hubs platform, cloud environments, and OEM partner solutions.
