From January to October, China’s stainless steel import volume totaled 1.2621 million tons and export volume totaled 4.1408 million tons.
In October 2025, China’s stainless steel imports were 124,100 tons, a month-on-month increase of 3,800 tons, an increase of 3.18%; a year-on-year decrease of 34,100 tons, a decrease of 21.56%. In October, imports from Japan, Taiwan, China and other regions dropped month-on-month. The top five domestic stainless steel import regions totaled 117,100 tons, accounting for 94.32% of total imports.
From January to October 2025, China’s stainless steel imports totaled 1.2621 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 343,000 tons, or 21.37%. Among them, Indonesia is the largest importer of stainless steel in my country. From January to October, 1.0171 million tons were imported from Indonesia, a year-on-year decrease of 24%. Domestic stainless steel imports from Indonesia, South Korea, Vietnam and other regions showed a month-on-month increase.
In October 2025, the total exported stainless steel volume was 358,100 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 60,400 tons, a decrease of 14.43%; a year-on-year decrease of 59,300 tons, a decrease of 14.2%. Among them, Vietnam was China’s largest stainless steel exporter that month, and stainless steel exports to Turkey, Malaysia, India and other regions showed a month-on-month increase. In October, exports to Vietnam, South Korea, Russia and other regions dropped month-on-month. The top 20 stainless steel export regions totaled 285,600 tons, accounting for 79.74% of total exports.
From January to October 2025, the total export volume was 4.1408 million tons, an increase of 0.16 million tons year-on-year, an increase of 0.04%. From January to October, 425,900 tons were exported to Vietnam, a year-on-year increase of 15%. The total net export volume was 2.8787 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 344,600 tons, an increase of 13.60%.
China’s total nickel ore imports from January to October were 46.3839 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 14.53%
In October 2025, China’s nickel ore imports were 5.5977 million tons, a month-on-month decrease of 1.6307 million tons, a decrease of 22.56%; a year-on-year increase of 677,100 tons, an increase of 13.76%. Among them, 4.3468 million tons of nickel ore were imported from the Philippines, a month-on-month decrease of 25.28% and a year-on-year increase of 6.67%.
From January to October 2025, China’s total nickel ore imports were 46.3839 million tons, an increase of 5.8846 million tons year-on-year, an increase of 14.53%. Among them, the amount of nickel ore imported from the Philippines was 30.4474 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 6.67%.
