CMC International of Florida Inc. looks at new horizons.
Over the course of 7 years, CMC has been growing at an amazing rate, 300% in 5 year, according to Sean Person, President of CMC. Once a small contracting company focused in the residential market in Bloomington Indiana, it has grown to be a Residential, Commercial Builder and Developer, not just in the United States but also as far as East Africa. CMC opened a satellite office in Juba, South Sudan and in Nairobi, Kenya in 2019.
Being a U.S. trusted company in South Sudan opens the doors for large contracting opportunities. In fact, CMC has been presented with a few projects that it intends to pursue during a visit in February 2019. Of these next steps for the buisness, Person says:
“I really enjoy the people, culture and being part of the growth of a country. I hope that stability is near so we can move to providing the essentials for the country and its people. It’s such a beautiful place in rich in culture.”
With 90 percent of the GDP coming from oil there is a lack of Jobs. CMC has long been preparing for a manufacturing plant in Juba. According to Person there’s a lack of building products and materials within Juba and this is essential for building. CMC could greatly reduce the cost of construction within Juba by producing many of the key components to build. “I’m not going to give away my production plant details, but I know Juba has the resources and the people who are ready to get to work.”
